Ahh. My baby is finally here.
Jumbo cream caviar - so completely delicious. I'm going to have to figure out a way to keep it clean, especially where the abaya is concerned - suggestions?

Once upon a pair of bad boys
I am the proud parent of these bad boys.
I shall just sit back and bask in their glory, and completely ignore their major blister-inducing potential. No beauty without pain, right?

Once upon a Mr.Blahnik
Thanks for the invite, Mr.Blahnik.
Now you just need to name a shoe after me and we're all set. <3
Can't decide which shoe I'll let him sign, my suede ruby red heels or my "eden" satin emerald green heels? Guess I'll just get new ones - perfect excuse! They're also coming out with an exclusive gold/yellow shoe for the occasion, 50 pairs only! The salesclerk showed them to me, and they look gorgeous.

Once upon a scent
FINALLY! <3
After being completely sold-out in London and only available in the US, my friend M. luckily managed to find me a bottle!
I smelt this little beauty by Trish McAvoy at the Bergdorf in NYC this year and fell in love. If you're into soapy fresh smells, you must try this. I can't quite explain it; it's amazing. Very light and airy for the day. The body lotion for it is also amazing, thanks S.! <3
After going through my second bottle - and realizing mom mistakenly gave her friend a bottle of my no.3 instead of no.9's blackcurrant & vanilla, which is very sweet-smelling - I searched everywhere for it here, but to no avail.
Any idea where they sell Trish McAvoy here? And what's you signature perfume? As Coco Chanel said, "It is the unseen, unforgettable, ultimate accessory of fashion that heralds your arrival and prolongs your departure."

Once upon a bedtime story
All snuggled up in bed under the covers, with chai 7leeb in hand and reading Vogue's humongous September issue; always the most anticipated issue of the year. I still remember the glee from going through last year's Sep issue with Sienna Miller on the cover! Oh and I cannot wait to watch The September Issue. Raving reviews!
Inside: Gorgeous pink dress by Michael Kors (I am least immune to pink - whatever the cut looks like <3 ) and Vera Wang's crepe-back satin dolman-sleeve dress is TDF. Absolutely. Reminds me of the gorgeous burnt orange satin creation by Halston last year, tres chic.
And on another note, aren't those wish-list advisory tag stickers the most adorable thing? A. got them for me and I'm putting them to good use. Thanks A.! <3
Taqabal Allah qiyamna w qiyamkum!

Once upon a shopping spree
Shopping is therapeutic.
Got these amazing studded shoes today (they matched my studded leggings as I tried them on at the store hehe) and the most adorable lace-print leggings, as well as some much needed cardigans. Got back home and realized they looked EXACTLY like the Balmain strappy gladiator heels - as seen on Rihanna. Score!

Once upon a closet cleanout
Summer seems to be the season for closet-cleanout and room redecorating.
Started a little late this year, but it IS the time to throw out the old and bring in the new. Now we're not really big on the mess and clutter we have to endure for a couple of days - not to mention the energy it takes - but rediscovering clothes and accessories you forgot about (usually lying around at the back of the closet/drawers) are most definitely worth it.
Stacks and stacks of magazines. We keep the newer issues, and as for the older ones - we go through them, tear out our fav pages and either pin them to an inspiration board or store them in a file for later use.
These transparent boxes are wonderful for storage - easy accessibility AND space on top for handbags!
Color-coding the shoe closet.. so many shades of pink!
Vintage YSL gown I completely forgot about! <3
Fuschia vintage oversized blazer that I raided from mom's old closet. Been coveting a pink one for some time - can't wait to wear it once the weather gets cooler with an over-sized tank top, studded black leggings and my peeptoe Loub ankle boots.
Loubs <3 a girl can never have enough of the charming red sole. What do you guys do with boxes? I'm short on storage space. Like really short.
See what I mean? Boxes boxes boxes.. so many of them. What do you do with all of these? I can't bear throwing them away - though I do reuse them to carry jewelery and whatnot if I'm staying over at someone's place/need something to carry them in.
Rearranged all accessories in accessible plastic boxes according to type. Yay to organization! To me, if I don't see it, then I forget about it - exactly why everything needs to be visible hehe.
Completely forgot about my Lanvin winged earrings! <3 Left them in the pouch after a party one day and they slipped my mind.. they are quite heavy though, and clip-on - a drawback, but oh well. They're pretty and take up half my ear, so I would wear a completely simple outfit with no other accessories.
Yay! Found a candle/cinnamon stick/scented oil set, bath and shower set and gorgeous lilac silk bed cover that I bought and completely forgot about. The White Company sells amazing stuff for home.
Nothing like distressing with a mug of perfect golden chai 7leeb at the end of the day, though saffron milk comes close <3
and of course, an old movie marathon with mom featuring Grace Kelly.
Scented candles! I've become an addict.

L.

Once upon an update that's been long due
Gosh. It's been ages since we've updated anything.
We had such a fab time in NYC visiting the Museum of Modern Art, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, going to a play on Broadway, shopping at Saks, Bergdorf, Barneys, Bloomingdales.. ice-skating at Rockefeller and getting a tour of NYU from the President himself. We later arrived in Washington D.C. just in time for the inauguration of Obama, met NYC's governer, had lunch with former Justice Sandra Day O'Connor at the Supreme Court (and attended a court hearing about criminals' Miranda Rights!), and visited The White House (turned out we missed Obama by 5 minutes! He was just leaving to attend a function) and the Library of Congress. We had a wonderful time there.
We then got back, and were immersed into loads of university work and projects and had absolutely no time to update anything, or check anyone else's updates for that matter.
In any case, summer strolled by and we graduated (Summa Cum Laude!) and now that we've got some free time on our hands, looks like we'll start uploading the blog more regularly.
*Whenever we felt so caught up in all the never-ending projects, we'd take a break, a deep breath, play a sound clip of waves hitting the beach and we'd stare at this photo. It worked!
